Gu\u00eda de eliminaci\u00f3n completa de las vmtools instaladas sobre un sistema CentOS.<\/p>\n

Antes de comenzar<\/h2>\n

Se debe tener en cuenta que las vmtools que se tratan en esta gu\u00eda son las del hypervisor ESXi, no corresponden a las de un vmware Workstation, aunque pueda llegar a funcionar, no est\u00e1 ni probado ni es la finalidad de la gu\u00eda.<\/p>\n

Descripci\u00f3n de la situaci\u00f3n<\/h2>\n

Al llegar a la administraci\u00f3n de un sistema, tal vez se desconoce el origen o m\u00e9todo de instalaci\u00f3n de las tools (ya sea mediante repositorio o por binarios del propio agente), en ese momento, el proceso de desinstalar dichas tools puede causar un m\u00ednimo dolor de cabeza.<\/p>\n

Procedimiento<\/h2>\n

Tan simple como r\u00e1pido. Lo \u00fanico que debe hacerse es eliminar los directorios relativos a las vmtools:<\/p>\n

# rm -Rf \/etc\/vmware-tools\r\n# rm -Rf \/usr\/lib\/vmware-tools<\/pre>\n
Despu\u00e9s de esto se podr\u00e1 realizar la instalaci\u00f3n de las vmtools nuevamente sin ning\u00fan tipo de problema.
